COVID-19 Statement
We recognise our responsibility to minimise the risk of spread of infection to all involved in your supply chain, including our staff, customers, as well as members of the general public receiving consignments.
Throughout our network of over 100 locations, we continue to take precautionary measures as instructed by the World Health Organisation and Public Health England, focusing on hand washing and the use of anti-bacterial products for all staff.
In order to protect drivers and customers alike from the risk of infection while delivering parcels, a temporary change has come into effect regarding obtaining POD signatures at point of delivery.
At the point of delivery, drivers are instructed to explain that because of the extra precautions over Coronavirus, we do not require a signature. Drivers will request the recipient’s name as normal.
Drivers have also been reminded to maintain a 2 metre distance from all members of the general public. This includes your members of staff on collections, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and assistance on this point.
As we monitor this unprecedented turn of events, we will continue to review potential contingencies as further news and advice is provided from government bodies.
Currently there are no reported cases of Covid-19 in employees of the APC or member depots, and we continue to operate at full operational capacity on a local and national level.
